AudioPhile Base

A stylish range of award winning equipment supports and isolation platforms manufactured by Audiophile Furniture Ltd of Southborough in Kent.

The whole range is designed to isolate all audio equipment from the unwanted vibrations that can seriously affect our enjoyment of music. Not only do they offer excellent isolation properties they are also stylish and being modular allow easy assembly as well as the ability to add further shelves and platforms or alter the height between shelves.

Two types of vibration platform are available in order to offer the very best isolation depending on budget. The award winning Base platform is available in six sizes to accommodate most equipment up to about 20kg. The heavier and stronger Stratabase is suitable for heavy High-End equipment and is available in four sizes.

We are offering our own demonstation StarBase four tier equipment support for sale. It is ideal for all hi-end systems that need a quality support system. The RRP is £450.00 per tier, total £1,800.00, please enquire for our price.

We can also supply any of the StrataBase or Base platforms as required. Being a modular system it can be used as illustrated as a four tier system. Alternatively it can be split into two x two tier units or a three and one system, we can supply the extra feet required to do this.

Equipment Supports

There are four styles of equipment support for all types of audio and audio/visual equipment at various prices. All of aluminium construction they are light in weight but also very robust and in the case of the top of the range Quattrabase capable of taking the very heaviest equipment .

The first three are of tripod design with the option of six sizes of interchangeable tubular legs to suit different equipment and extra tiers can easily be added. The Quattrabase, as its title suggests, is a bigger four support utilizing four legs for extra stability with large and heavy equipment.

All are supported on substantial multi adjustable feet.


The QBase support is designed to take smaller 3/4 sized equipment and incorporates a resonance control system as part of its construction.	The Standard support is designed to accept the detachable Base 01 vibration platform and is suitable for middle priced equipment and won a Gold and Best Buy awards from Hi-Fi- Choice.


The StarBase support is suitable for the best audio equipment up to approximately 20 kg and not only takes the Base vibration platform but also the StrataBase for even better performance	The QuattraBase support when used in conjunction with the StrataBase vibration control platforms gives total isolation for the very best equipment with all unwanted interference removed for a remarkably natural sound quality.

Vibration Control Platforms

Two levels of platform are available for the Equipment Supports or any other good quality rack system. They are the Base platform which is constructed from a single substrata of MDF with a patented beam assembly underneath to dramatically reduce unwanted vibrations that colour the sound. This allows more detail and better bass extension with increased speed and clarity.

The StrataBase platform builds on the Base`s achievements and with its heavier, more substantial construction this allows an even better low frequency performance with greater detail, separation and realism.
