SME Series V Gold plated

The Series V Gold Plated tonearm has all of its cast aluminum and brass components of a standard Series V 24 carat Gold plated and extremely elegant it looks too. This is of course undertaken at SME`s own extensive plating facility in Steyning and involves many more procedures than Black or Bright Chroming and its price has to reflex that.

The two gold lines on the tonearm add to its appearance whilst serving the usual purpose of tonearm alignment for VTA with the supplied protractor.

Essentially a Series V apart from the obvious cosmetic changes, the main difference being that it is fitted as standard with the top of the range pure Silver Litz internal wiring which does improve the sound quality appreciably. Only the Series V-12 and the 312S have this upgrade as standard.
